(evening event)

The Saturday evening event was held
at the Marriott Hickory Ridge Hotel
in Lisle.

The weather was
still holding
& the trees were
almost as elegantly
dressed as we were.

This was the largest of all
our reunion events
with 63 classmates
& their significant
others attending.
What a terrific chance
to see people we'd
been out of touch with,
sometimes for decades.

The banquet room was
beautifully appointed,
& the decorating committee
had placed graduation pictures of us
clipped from the Naperville Sun
in the centerpiece arrangements.
Special thanks to Betty & Diana
for the beautiful accents.

At 6:30 p.m. we began checking in
at the class registration desk.

The cocktail hour began & we used the time
to chat & look over the various displays
set up by the committee.
 These included photos of faculty,
previous events, our early school years,
& a photo gallery in memory of those
who have left us.

At 7:00 p.m., we were ushered to the hotel's front steps,
where a photographer captured the moment for us.
This photograph can be viewed with those taken
at our previous reunions.

We had a chance to revisit our past
in the form of a bulletin board
filled with photos from
school days &
previous events.
What fun!

We had been asked to bring our high school yearbooks to the reunion
& these were placed at each table for us to browse.
Finally, our spouses & friends could see what we really looked like
way back when.

on a virtual tour of one of his high school years.

Karen Wicklund Thomas, Elaine Herrmann Brucher
& Karen Johnston Rubin enjoyed looking though
some memorabilia.

Our long-term memories were tested with games
designed to see how much we remembered
of our school days & the faculty who guided us through them.

Judy Powell Fogel & Karen Wicklund Thomas.

Shirley Hoffman & husband Bob
joined us as guests,
affording us a chance
to thank one of our
instructors for the fine job she did.
