Preemption House
offered more than just a place to eat & visit.
The main floor of the building had rooms
featuring a variety of crafts which had been practiced
in the early days of the Naper Settlement. |
A number of examples of stained glass were on display
& were also offered for sale.
These panels show several different types of glass.
|
|
Additionally, other forms of
craftsmanship still used today
were represented.
For example,
this assortment of
tilework items. |

Some of us, like Jerriann & Don Wilson,
discovered we could purchase some lovely
gifts in the shop there in the building.
There was quite an assortment of pieces
reminiscent of the earlier era.
